Keep Calm and Keep it Moving

I was invited to write a guest blog for Author of My Faith, a website that provides “Encouragement for Today’s Christian Woman.” I wrote the article Keep Calm and Carry On based on the same phrase that became popular in recent years. We saw the phrase on t-shirts, mugs, and posters. It became the mantra of teachers, medical professionals and social workers as a reminder of how to deal with stress.

The phrase was actually developed by Great Britain’s Ministry of Information. It was to be used in the event Great Britain was invaded by Germany. It was never used. Decades later, a poster was found and the phrase caught on around the world.

Stress contributes to chronic health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and inflammatory diseases. It also contributes to weight gain. When under extreme stress we ar more susceptible to colds, flu and other bacterial or viral infections.

The article shares four actions you can take to calm yourself and stay calm when you are in the midst of a stressful situation. That is what we do at www.happyhalfhour.club. We share stress relief actions that take 30 minutes or less. I invite you to read Keep Calm and Carry On.
