Natural oils that are extracted from plant parts are used to develop essential oils. These highly concentrated aromatic oils are believed to have healing properties. As such, essential oils are used in alternative and holistic medicine.

Essential oils can be used to lift your mood and encourage positive feelings. Peppermint improves mood and alertness. Lemon increases concentration. Lavender calms and relaxes.
